EXCELLENT Based on 353 reviews Jenny Jenn Jenn2025-07-05Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. This is by far the kindest dentist I've ever been to. My two year old even loves her and she is kind and gentle too. Her work looks fantastic as well. Best dentist in the city in my opinion! Highly recommended. h alanwer2025-07-04Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I rarely, if ever, leave reviews; never mind you negative ones. However, I feel compelled to leave one, as a cautionary tale for others. I had two fillings done by Dr. Leila Akbarihamid ("Leila") upon her recommendation; with the assistance of Puneet. One of these particular fillings, right away, started causing me problems, including sensitivity and pain when chewing or at rest, as well as pulsating pounding pain when lying at bed at night, in addition to strain and tension running from my lower jaw all the way up to my eye brows. I booked an immediate follow up appointment for the next day, and explained the aforementioned symptoms, including that the structural integrity of the tooth feels compromised; to which Leila responded that a bite adjustment is needed. She proceeded to make an adjustment. Thereafter, I was told that sometimes, because the drilling takes place in proximity to the nerve ('pulpis'), it can become sensitive and take some time to calm down. A week later, I went in again, as my symptoms continued worsening. Rather than being provided with any real concrete explanation as to why my symptoms are worsening, or a proactive solution; Leila proceeded to gas light me, dominate the conversation, deflect, and not take any accountability for her work. I was simply told that if things get worst, that she is there to help, and that potentially a root canal may be needed. THINGS WERE ALREADY BAD! Given the above, I decided to seek help from another dentist that is willing to listen to me and take my pain seriously (pain that did not exist prior to Leila touching me). The new dental office almost a day and a half prior to my visit, requested my x-rays from Bridgeland Dental Care, which were not provided to the new dental office prior to my visit. During my appointment, I sat there waiting for at least 20 minutes in the hopes that they would send the x-rays, to no avail. I had to get new x-rays at the new dentist and pay for them out of pocket, as Dain the dental administrator at Bridgeland Dental Care had maxed out my insurance, and only informed me to that effect after the failed procedures not prior; which is another issue on its own. Now, I'm faced with the potential of at least one root canal, to what was an otherwise a healthy tooth, due to negligence and lack of due care by Bridgeland Dental Care. I DO NOT RECOMMEND Bridgeland Dental Care, based on my personal experience, due to the following: a. The dentist (in this case Leila) did not disclose risks and complications of recommended procedures prior to carrying them out, and only disclosed potential issues after the fact. b. The billing admin (in this case Dain), does not disclose cost of procedures prior to billing insurance, and only brings up this fact after she has maxed out insurance allocation. She also has a persistent and repeated pattern of behavior of misinforming the dentist and dentist assistant as to the real reason of a visit/follow up; which if you do not pay attention to will lead you to receiving unnecessary treatments. c. Lastly, being a patient that is reliant on the advice of a dental professional, predisposed me to be in a very vulnerable position. I believe that I have been taken advantage of, and was not extended due care, competence and honesty in my treatment. My stress was compounded post treatment due to lack of accountability, deflection and gas lighting carried out by Leila; I was made to feel like my pain was invalid, and was not extended any next steps or non-invasive options of future treatments. pema rangdol2025-07-04Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. What Is Classified As A
Dental Emergency?
Any situation where you need a dental care professional – suffering a traumatic dental injury, having a chipped or broken tooth, or experiencing discomfort and tooth pain, for example – is considered a dental emergency.
Wondering whether your case requires emergency dental services? Here are several common oral-health-related problems that call for emergency dentistry services from dentists.
-
Toothache
-
Tooth Infection
-
Cracked Or Broken Tooth
-
Swelling
-
Knocked-Out Tooth
-
Bleeding Gums
-
Dislodged Crowns
-
Loose Or Lost Filling
Tooth pain can sometimes be completely harmless – but it may also point to a wide range of oral health problems.
Sometimes the cause of toothache is as simple as having something stuck in your teeth. Other times, it might be due to a broken tooth – or even a minor mouth or tooth injury.
Is Tooth Pain Always An Emergency?
Some pain subsides on its own. However, if you’re experiencing lasting pain, then it’s time to contact your dentist in Bridgeland– over the phone or online – and get a same-day appointment.
Gum disease is often silent, meaning symptoms do not present themselves until you have already entered an advanced stage of the disease. It is essential to pay attention to the warning signs:
- Red, swollen or tender gums or other pain in your mouth.
- Bleeding while brushing, flossing, or eating hard food.
- Gums that are receding or pulling away from the teeth, causing the teeth to look longer than before.
- Loose or separating teeth.
- Pus between your gums and teeth.
- Sores in your mouth.
- Persistent bad breath.
- A change in the way your teeth fit together when you bite.
- A change in the fit of partial dentures
This serious infection that can go unnoticed as you will not feel it until it is too late. If left untreated, the bacteria that cause gum disease may travel through the bloodstream increasing the chance of heart disease, stroke, respiratory diseases and pregnancy complications.
Broken or chipped teeth can quickly develop into a serious problem. It may not seem that serious at first, but slightly cracked teeth could become a dental emergency that leads to infection – or even tooth extraction.
See our dentists in case of any cracked or broken teeth. The sooner our dentist takes care of the problem, the better the outcome!
Swelling – often referred to as tooth abscess – is mainly caused by bacterial infections. An abscess can be periapical or periodontal, depending on whether it occurs at the tip of the root or in the gum region – but it’s a dental emergency, either way.
Our dentist will drain the pus out and disinfect the area to prevent it from spreading further and causing other oral health problems.
Unfortunately, mouth injuries – including knocked-out teeth – are bound to happen when you least expect them. If something happens outside of regular business hours, can you afford to wait until the next day?
No – loosened or knocked-out teeth require immediate treatment from a dentist.
Since knocked-out teeth can cause pain, swelling, and bleeding, you can turn to over-the-counter pain relievers until you contact us and receive emergency dental care. Our dentist will make sure to give your teeth the treatment they need – right away!

Dislodged crowns require emergency dental services. If possible, take the crown to our dentists’ office with you. We may be able to clean it up and fit it back over your tooth the same day!
Fillings are durable – but they aren’t permanent. There’s always a rough estimate of how long they can last – but your filling could come loose sooner than expected due to an injury, tooth decay, teeth grinding, chewing too hard, and general wear and tear.
Losing a filling isn’t always painful. Still, it leaves the tooth open to potential bacteria, leading to dangerous dental infections and more pain down the line.
Please schedule an appointment with our dentist. We’ll clean the area, place a new filling, and send you off with a smile!
